I know, what took me so long? Fear. The fear of what people would think of our home. If you have hung around this blog for a while now, you know we have done a lot of work on our house. It wasn't in the best shape when we purchased it, but we fell in love with the neighborhood and schools here. Luckily for me, my husband saw the potential in this place. After about seven months, I am finally getting to the point where I can look around my house and say that I love it.
I am a really impatient person, so this whole process has been a real period of growth for me. During this time God has given me the great gift of looking at things in a new light. Seeing used decor or things I already have and turning them into something beautiful. Instead of praying for a windfall of money to come our way, He has taught me to roll up my sleeves and do some hard work myself. With that, came an opportunity to start writing about it.
While I know I am a long way from being a influential blogger in DIY and home decor, I have been encouraged by all the positive feedback I have gotten along with seeing my readership increase each week. So to all of you who take the time to read these posts, share comments, or even try to tackle a project yourself, I am so grateful for you.
Having all our family under our roof yesterday was a sobering reminder that in my mind my house will always be unfinished, but in reality our home is right where it needs to be.
I need some help when you are ready to tackle a TN project!:) Anna Lea
